KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Oil & Gas Services Council (MOGSC) has launched a website, the 2016 Oil & Gas Career Carnival, as a platform for the general public to gain access to information on how to jumpstart a career in the O & G sector.
MOGSC Career Carnival Committee Chairman, Captain Ahmad Imran Mohd Azmi, said that the carnival, which is expected to take place in January 2016, will give exposure to the public regarding the O & G industry.
The carnival is organised in collaboration with a team of experts in the oil and gas industry with the aim of bringing together potential students, professionals and employers.
“There are huge career opportunities in the oil and gas industry that many people out there have no heard of. I hope this Career Carnival will serve as a catalyst and be an eye-opener to them,” said Captain Ahmad Imran to Malaysian Digest.
The carnival was officiated by MOGSC President Ramlan Malek during the Annual General Meeting held in Kuala Lumpur recently.
The carnival will also travel to Johor, Terengganu and Kuala Lumpur in January 2016. It will also include talks about career prospects, CV writing, interview tips and job familiarization.
“The oil and gas industry offers a promising career pathway to qualified candidates.
“MOGSC will play a vital role to foster a network that is critical to fulfil the needs of the growing O & G sector,” he said.
